NEW BUILD/CONVERSION ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES

From October 1st 2008 Juice Energy will be offering Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) for new build properties as well as SAP ratings for extension works.

DESIGN STAGE

Juice Energy will be offering the highest levels of consultancy and advice for the design and planning of new build domestic properties. Our qualified team analyse the proposed design and construction to suggest methods and materials that maximise energy efficiency and minimise environmental impact, helping planners to achieve the Target Emission Rate (TER) for new build properties.

Juice Energy will provide a SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) rating for the design stage of a new build. This rating will be used to guide recommendations for the specification to achieve the target emission rate.

FINAL BUILD STAGE

When a property enters the final build stage another SAP rating is required, which the professionals at Juice Energy can provide. Following changes to the specification, further to recommendations at the design stage, this is when the final assessment is undertaken and the building’s final ratings are calculated and concluded as an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

EXTENSIONS

Juice Energy provide assessment for extension works to domestic properties. Although extensions do not require full EPC’s they must have 2 x SAP ratings, one notional and one actual SAP rating, both of which include the rating of the property that is undergoing the extension.
